Bucks County Mourns Passing of Recorder of Deeds Edward R. Gudknecht

Recorder of Deeds Edward R. GudknechtBucks County Recorder of Deeds Edward R. Gudknecht passed away on Tuesday, June 8.

Mr. Gudknecht, 73, served the residents of Bucks County as Recorder of Deeds for 25 years, earning the distinction as the longest tenured leader of that row office in county history.

In addition to his county family, Mr. Gudknecht is survived by his five children – Carol, Sally, Joanie, Diane and Ed, Jr. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister.

Memorial arrangements are pending. The commissioners have requested all Bucks County flags to be lowered to half staff in honor of Mr. Gudknecht’s life and legacy of commitment to Bucks County.
