No, it is not a misspelling, “Banned” refers to the list of web site addresses or IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, in Web lingo, that have attempted to place spam, including overly partisan or outrageous rhetoric, on this website.

Hopefully this may be of use to some of the anti spam effort that are underway among those who are working very hard to make the Web a safer and saner place.
