Despite all the deals, giveaways, bribes, etc., Extremely Light (almost transparent) Congressman Patrick Murphy hasn’t spoken out with even a comment about the huge spending which will slam taxpayers of PA-08 in TWO ways:

1. The increased premiums and “out of pocket” costs which are inherent in the bill itself, and;
2. The deals which states from LA to NE to FL made which will be paid for by PA-08 taxpayers/voters

Perhaps “Light Blue Dog” are what was meant by “transparency” in Government by candidate Obama?!?!

PS. Did you know that the US General Services Administration is already leasing space to house the 100,000+ workers which this new bill, if enacted, will require. Washington DC recently overtook NYC as the most expensive commercial office real estate market in the country!

Seems to me the Bucks County media should examine this silence…

Here’s a copy of a letter sent by Sheila Bass, a Northampton resident and member of the Northampton Township Municipal Authority, on October 22, 2009 to the Bucks County Courier Times Letters editor in response to a published letter from another citizen.

The words are the same, except for a few typos, but the letter’s layout have been altered slightly to make them easier to read online.

As a person who has been actively involved in Northampton civic affairs for 35 years and currently a member of The Municipal Authority, I find it necessary to correct the ill-informed misstatements of John L. Harris in yesterday’s guest opinion.

The proposed Senior Citizens Center has been built and has been in operation for several years now. The money stolen by a crook has all been recovered including all accounting and legal fees. Are you saying that when someone steals from you that means that you are a thief?

President Obama says there is no evidence that non-economic caps on Tort Settlements work.

Tell that to doctors in Texas and California. In both states where these reforms have been implemented, insurance premiums have DROPPED and medical services have increased.

When will the Bucks County Media begin asking our federal Senators and Representatives why they will not support these reforms in Congress?

When will the Bucks County Media begin asking State legislative leadership and Gov. Rendell why Pennsylvania does not have these reforms in our Commonwealth?
