A Generous Guy Gets His Warm Welcome and Thanks!

Churchville PA –  Both the Warriors Watch and A Hero’s Welcome had a contingent of veterans and veteran motorcyclists greet Stephen at the airport and escorted him and his family to his home in the Churchville section of Northampton Township where neighbors and friends held a big welcome home reception.

Since Emerson was home for only 6 days and no public meeting was scheduled during his leave, his military flag was presented to Stephen by Supervisors Chairman Vincent Deon when he reached his home from the airport, with the help of Peter Palestina from the Marine Corps League.

The sailor, Navy MA2 Stephen Emerson, returned from his second tour in Iraq. He is currently at his home base in Jacksonville , FL where, after demobilization at Camp Pendleton , CA , he had to go to his home base in Jacksonville , to secure his canine military working partner “Dingo” and stay long enough to get the kennels in shape and qualify another canine for active duty.. Just in case you’re wondering, the money bill for Defense has passed the Senate.

Now they need to reconcile differences with the House version.  Here are the Senators assigned to work from their side:

07/23/2009 – The Senate has appointed the following conferees to the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal 2010 (S. 1390):

Sens. Levin, Kennedy, Byrd, Lieberman, Reed, Akaka, Nelson (FL), Nelson (NE), Bayh, Webb, McCaskill, Udall (Colo.), Hagan, Begich, Burris, McCain, Inhofe, Sessions, Chambliss, Graham, Thune, Martinez, Wicker, Burr, Vitter and Collins.

Two Memorial Day ceremonies that will take place in the Richboro section of Northampton Township on May 25th.

At 8:00am there will be a flag lowering ceremony in front of the flag pole of the Township building located at 55 Township Rd, Richboro.

At 2:00pm there will be a one hour ceremony at the Robert H. Dembowski Veterans Memorial Park located at Routes 232 and 332 Richboro.
