Northampton Korean War Veterans Sought for Upcoming Ceremony
Preregistration Deadline is Tuesday, August 26th for September 9th, ceremony in Willow Grove
Richboro PA — Members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly Bucks County Delegation are currently searching for Korean War era veterans living in Bucks County so they can be honored at a special ceremony at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th, at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base.
Veterans will be presented with a certificate of achievement as well as a commemorative pin suitable for use in a lapel or on a cap at the ceremony.
To ensure that all veterans who are interested in attending receive more detailed information about the event, any Northampton resident who is a veteran, or has a family member or friend who served in the Armed Forces from 1950 to 1953, should contact Scott Petri, their local state representative, to preregister.
Due to security and logistical concerns, veterans are allowed no more than two guests and are asked to arrive in one vehicle.
Attendees will be required to show a valid photo identification, and vehicle drivers must be able to produce a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration and a current insurance card. Gates will open at noon but arrival before 12:30 p.m. is not encouraged.
To gain access to the base, everyone who drives to or attends the ceremony must be pre-registered with the veteran’s local state representative’s office. The last allowable day for registration is August 26th.

Each registrant should provide the following information: veteran’s name, home address, phone number, as well as the names, addresses and phone numbers of up to two guests for the ceremony.
