Ed Farling for School Board Region 3

Ed Farling is a graduate of Rider University with a degree in Accounting, and is currently a Controller working for a local manufacturer.  As a 21-year resident of the Council Rock School District, and a parent of three CR-educated children, Ed will bring a new perspective, fresh ideas, and independence along with this unique combination of skills and experiences to the position of School Director.  His professional experience has taught him the importance of spending and investing limited resources effectively.  Serving as a Public Official has reinforced his commitment to open and transparent public policy making; using integrity and discretion in spending other people’s money; and maintaining the public trust in the face of difficult decisions.  Ed has experience dealing with mandates and regulations that often appear to override common sense.  He will work to balance all the interests in our community, and hold the line on appropriate school spending and your taxes while maintaining the excellence we have all come to expect of Council Rock schools.
