Dear Friend,

I owe you a special Thank You!

At the end of our first quarter we were able to raise more than $420,000 and place ourselves as the number one fundraiser for Republican challengers in the country.

Your steadfast support has allowed us to begin to bring our message to the people in Pennsylvania’s 8th district. Thank you.

Today I am asking for you to continue to support our campaign. We have had a great start, but there is still much more that needs to be done to secure this seat. Our second quarter is set to end on June 30th. We need to keep up the momentum and end the second quarter as well as we did the first.

I also invite you to view the first installment of “Letters from Travis”– an online documentary that tells the story of my son Travis, and how his death while serving this great country is the inspiration for my run for Congress.

After the release of this documentary a few days ago we have been attacked by the left, who have tried to paint a picture that I am using my son for my own political gain. Without your help they will continue to slam my campaign with the use of their well funded groups like move-on.org.

It is important for you to know that my son is my inspiration, but I stand for more than that.

Now let’s talk about what is on everybody’s mind. The price of gas is over $4 per gallon. Two years ago, gas averaged $2.91 nationally. Now it seems silly, but back then we thought that was incredible.

This week House Democrats will honor NPR and name two post offices. House Democrats will NOT be addressing souring gas prices.

What has Congressman Murphy done to help? Your guess is as good as mine.

The prices of gas and diesel fuel in Pennsylvania have all risen dramatically. What has Congressman Murphy done to help us?

Please stay in touch, either by phone or e-mail. With so much going on this month, I want to be your voice as I travel across the 8th district. If we continue to work together, I will be your voice in the United States Congress.

Sincerely,

Tom Manion
