Consumers Union Lauds Obama CMS Head Nominee
It appears we now know who to blame for the mess our healthcare system has been driven to since the sixties:
“Steven D. Findlay, a health policy analyst at Consumers Union, said: ‘This would be a spectacular appointment. Don (Berwick) has been an intellectual force in health care for decades. He helped forge many ideas incorporated in the new health care law.’”
There is one minor, teeny-weeny, itsy-bitsy problem:
He does not appear to have experience managing a large bureaucracy.
Details, details!!!
Think of it, with ~5,000 employees, he will direct healthcare for 300,000,000 people. Hmmm, I think the USSR tried that too.
