Dr. Arthur Friedman Approved by BOS to Fill John Long’s Seat

Dr. Arthur Friedman was chosen Wednesday evening, May 13th, by the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors to be the interim supervisor until the end of the year. He will fill the seat of John E. Long Jr. who died suddenly last week (see story below).

The vote on Board was not unanimous, Supervisor Frank Rothermel was reported in an article in the Bucks County Courier Times today, May 14, 2009, by D. Adler to have voted against Dr. Friedman.

Dr. Friedman is a former Supervisor and well known in the Township for his many civic contribution. He has been an active advocate of The Churchville Nature Center and is the President of the Friends Of Churchville Nature Center. Art Friedman is the elected Republican Committeeman in Northampton Voting District 4.
