Northampton Twp: Pay-to-Play Philly $tyle

Remember when Dr Rose(D) was sworn into office by Hon. Seamus McCaffery(D) in January ’12?

Frank Rothermel(D), a “malpractice” and “personal injury” attorney, is well connected to the corrupt Democrats in Philly and Seamus McCaffery.  He brought McCaffery to Northampton Township.  Rothermel has not [yet] been mentioned in the investigation, but the Philadelphia Inquirer reports:

“Over the last decade, the wife of Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Seamus P. McCaffery – his chief judicial aide – has received 18 payments as referral fees for connecting law firms with clients.

“In the most recent payment, McCaffery’s wife, lawyer Lise Rapaport, received $821,000 – her fee from a settlement in a multimillion-dollar medical malpractice case.”

Immediately following the swearing in of Rose in 2012, Frank Rothermel(D) and Jim Cunningham(D) put forth a motion to appoint Mike Savona as Solicitor, at the time a Partner in the firm Friedman Schuman in Montco. Friedman Schuman IS one of the firms mentioned in the investigation… among others.

In 2013, after Savona moved to Eastburn & Gray in Doylestown, the DEM majority in Northampton led by Rothermel and Cunningham appointed Friedman Schuman (no named attorney) to represent the Township in land development matters.

You simply cannot make this stuff up!  REMEMBER NOVEMBER!
