Greet a Recovering Hero
My cousin in Massachusetts whose son is safely home after two Iraq tours sent me this message today. I think it’s a great, timely idea. If you agree, then pass it on, too!
When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to the address below. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful, special people who have sacrificed so much would get.
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:
A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001If you approve, please pass it on.
Flag Ceremony
While we are at it, just to update you, the latest Northampton Patriot’s Flag Ceremony was held last night, December 9, 2009, at the Supervisor’s meeting.
Visit this web link, http://animoto.com/play/UxmTTYgLi6ezdV5EDghdXg and see some of the images from the work of Pete Palestina and our Township’s Veteran’s Advisory Committee.
Also last night, the annual Blue Light Ceremony was held to remember our lost law enforcement heros who have died in service to the communities in Bucks County.
A blue light was illuminated at the Supervisor’s dias and all were asked to join by showing at least one blue light with their holiday decorations at home.
