11/20/13 – Board of Supervisors’ Meeting & Patriots Ceremony
The Board of Supervisors’ Meeting has been changed to Wednesday November 20, 2013 to accommodate both the Thanksgiving Holiday and the requirements for the presentation of the 2014 Budget. The December meeting is scheduled for December 11th.
There will be two notable events at Wednesday’s Northampton Township Supervisors public meeting starting promptly at 7:30PM:
- A welcome home and flag exchange for Army Specialist Christopher Hughes of the Ivyland section of Northampton. Chris deployed to Afghanistan on 11/4/12 and we placed his Army flag in the display… back on 11/14/12 via his mom Cindy and dad Edward. He returned from his deployment back in July and was not able to retrieve his flag until now. Chris has just been discharged from active duty, will be home on Wednesday and we will give him his Army flag at the meeting and replace it with his US flag.
- The above will be followed by a Distinguished Citizen Award presented to Air Force Colonel Paulette Schank as they honor the years of her distinguished service and her retirement from the US Air Force Reserve. Col. Schank is a two time recipient of the Flag Program, once in 2006 and again in 2009.
We encourage everyone to attend these two great events.
